WHAT IS THE GOOD NEWS (THE GOSPEL)?

Good News components: Creation / Fall / Redemption / Restoration

God is now progressively restoring His creation to its original intent and purpose, firstly through His church, filling her with His Holy Spirit, cleansing her of sin until the last day when He will make new heavens and a new earth and live among his resurrected people for all eternity. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Response:
1. Repent & Believe in Jesus
2. Be baptized and be filled with the Holy Spirit
3. Follow Jesus on His mission (Be His witnesses, preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations)

Reading the Song of Songs, as we listen in to the Shulamite and her Beloved, we find there an example of the similar affection Jesus has for His people, and the reciprocal love we are to show Him.
